Arathaea itself is a relatively large city and the prime center of worship of the so-called Seven Gods of Chaos-- which were created by Arathae, the founder, with the city. The city was built around an enormous underground lake, which only revealed itself through a small, dirty pond, and was kept in existence mainly because of the plethora of minerals and rare and beautiful animals surrounding the area. The citizens of this city are free to attack anyone within city limits so long as they are not a citizen or allie of Arathaea, and are free to attack anyone they wish outside of the limits. The city is made primarily out of white, clean marble, and since criminals are often ritually sacrificed without trial or jury, crime is at an extremely low level. The city is in a dictatorship, and is ruled by a Lord Apostate.
